• Helical
The helical gear units are coaxial units where the gear unit output shaft is in-line with the motor shaft. The in-line helical motors are mostly used for slow speed/high torque applications.
• Helical bevel
A bevel gear is a bevel gear with helical teeth. The main application of this is in a vehicle differential, where the direction of drive from the drive shaft must be turned 90 degrees to drive the wheels.
• Worm
worm gear is derived from bionics. The appearance of worm gears is the result of bionics: a mechanism like a volute. In the absence of a spiral mechanism, the “spiral” that gives a perceptual cognition has only a volute.
• Shaft mounted
shaft mount gearboxes are mechanical power transmission components that drive a load at a reduced fixed ratio of motor speed. Attaching to the shaft of the driven equipment, these gearboxes are available in up to 25:1 ratios, and include a torque arm used to prevent rotation.
• Planetary
A planetary gearbox is a gearbox with the input shaft and the output shaft aligned. A planetary gearbox is used to transfer the largest torque in the most compact form (known as torque density).
